Daniel Uribe

Daniel Uribe is a Mexican film director based in Brooklyn with an extensive background in design and animation.

Daniel got his start in NYC as an Art Director and Designer for studios such as BUCK, MPC, Brand New School, and Gentleman Scholar. Making his film directing debut for the “Without You” music video by London-based duo, Oh Wonder, currently streaming on Youtube at 70 million views. Which led him to direct the Mexican episode of the “Home Turf” documentary series for Verizon during the FIFA World Cup.

In 2017 he was awarded as one of the Shots "Rising Stars", where he was selected as the next generation of artists under the age of 30 in the creative industries. His films have appeared on the Savannah Film Festival, Vimeo Staff picks, Boooooom!, Film Shortage, Shots, Little Black Book, Shiny Network Picks, Videostatic, Vevo, Webbyawards, MTV, Art Directors Club, Adobe Achievement Awards, Adforum.
Most recently he has been writing and directing short films that aim to spark hope and positive change in our society through storytelling. And in 2020 he was shortlisted at the Young Director Awards in Cannes with his short film “Influx”.
